Into the Clearing *6*

It has been two years now since Totakeke had come to steal Koda away, hidding in holes and skulking in caves along the borders of there once owned territory, now ran by the monster Talon. Totakeke did not inform Koda, now two and a half years old and growing more beautiful with each passing moment, that the land was ravished and her parents were probably dead. One day he would tell her that she is the true alpha female and her hideouse future she must face to defeat the evil and bring peace back to the land. Koda helped her grandfather out as much as she could, Totakeke was growing old and feeble, now lying on his deathbed of furs that were stripped from Kodas latest kill that only consisted of a small fawn. She was not a very good hunter at all, her grandfather always fed her and made sure she was safe.

Totakeke looked up at the black wolf that sat before him, her coat glistening from the sun that shone upon them, "Koda, Im going on the trip of my life, off into the clearing were the game runs freely, willing to be caught to be reborn. Were no evil roams, were I will see my ancestors."
He caughed harshly. Koda nuzled his neck, "Dont talk that way grandfather."
Totakeke smiled, "Dont worry, youll be great, I have something to tell him...Your parents were the leaders of the great Kenai pack...you...Koda...are the only savior..." Another caugh ravished his lungs, leaving him breathless, his eyes grew dull and his breathing stopped to only start again in the clearing. Koda shook her head, the tears streaming down her face, "Grand father, this is not me, please dont go, I need you!" she beckoned, "I cannot save my fellow wolves, they dont even know me!! I dont even know were they are!!" she wallowed. Koda layed down and and put her head on her grandfathers back, the tears coming down silently.

My Savior * chapter 5*

Koda was still in the small den when a noise came from outside. She lifted her small head from the ground and started wagging her bushy tail, mommy was back. Something large blotted out the light that filltered in from the entrance, something alot bigger then mommy. A large paw reached in and grabbed little Koda by the neck. She tried to bite and squeal but could not, her throat was being constricted. Her vertibrets cracked and creacked and her trechea collapsed. Kodas eyes dimmed and her heart beat slowed to a stop, her limbs went limp, and then, with a jolt the pup awoke from a terrible nightmare. She stood and shook her whole body to rid herself of the thoughts but stopped suddenly. There was a creature outside, her dream was coming true. She retreated to the back wall, pinned and trapped. The light was again covered, the hand was next! Koda prepared for the worst but all that happened was the head of another wolf poking in, "Koda, get your furry hide over here, we must go." It was her grandfather, Totakeke.

Koda bounded forward right into Totakekes face with lots of warm slobbery kisses but the old wolf snapped, "Not now Koda, we must go! It tis an emergency." He stepped into the den and shoved the pup out. The sun was bright, making the little black wolf squint. Totakeke, an old and frail brown wolf pushed Kodas rump with his nose, "Now lets go, follow me and be quite." Totakeke whispered.

The Transformation *4*

The greys skin and fur started to ripple, as mucles seemed to just grow. He leapted into the air and arms and legs grew, his chest broadened and his sized grew. He now stood upon his hind feet as a human would, as an anthro. The tresspasser started to laugh again, it gargled deep in his throat. Tet stood back up, his neck bleeding profusely, he was dying and he knew it. "You demon!" he growled, "You will never take this pack from me!"

The grey snarled, "I already have, step down and die like a dog."

The anthro wolf kicked Tet in the chest, a powerful blow that crushed the alpha males ribs and killed him instantly. The grey smiled and looked over his new pack, "You will all obey ME now! I am Talon! You know Alpha!" He peered around, "And were is my new queen?"

Neara stepped forward, "I will never love you or be your queen you foul beast." she spat.

Talon glared at her as he stepped towards her, his gigantic paws left imprints the size of a pie plate. Neara stepped back slowly. Talon stuck his face into Nearas, his breath smelled of rotten meat, "Bow down to me." he said slowly.

Neara was over powered by his girth and she slowly put her nose to the ground.

The Battle *chapter 3*

Neara smiled and licked her pup once more, "Koda, Im going to go make sure you father will be ok, you stay here until I come back." The brown wolf stared at her daughter for a moment and swiftly turned around and loped out the den door. He tail bobbing up and down until she was out of sight. Koda whimpered to herself and layed down slowly. Dead leaved crunched under her soft belly.

Neara ran gracefully, leaping over fallen trees that rotted into the ground. Her breath came out in puffs from her flared nostrils, the adrenaline pumped through her veins. The smell of the pack started to come to her...and the smell of the tresspasser. She came to a skidding halt, almost bumping into a fellow pack mate. The other wolf turned and barred his teeth to Neara then realized it was his Alpha and turned his attention back to the fight about to happen.

Neara squeezed her way between the large number of wolves standing around, watching, waiting, to see who would take the lead of the legendary hunters of the wood. Tet, the alpha male, and the challenger circled around each other slowly, sizing up the fight. The tresspasser lowered his head and let out a fearsome growl that came deep within his throat, "You will not beat me old timer, your nothing but a bag of bones now." He laughed to himself.

Tet swished his tail back and forth annoyed of this grey wolf that defied him, "You are nothing!" he snapped, "You run around and challenge pack alphas! Why, are you not accepted by you own blood lines!? Your just a weakling that wast cast out."

The pack laughed at the comment, antagonizing the greys temper. The tresspasser leaped into the air and latched onto Tets throat. The alpha gave a yelp and fell to the ground, lashing out with his own teeth. Neara stood were she was, tense, knowing that she could not jump into the fight. The grey let off and Tet stood, blood streaming down his coat. He growled deeply and jumped for the tresspassers right leg. He clamped on with a bite that was more powerful then the great oak tree. The grey gasped and latched onto the large alphas back, almost severing the fragile spinal cord. Tet let go and was tossed across the makeshift ring into his loyal pack members. The grey started to laugh synically, "You see, you cannot beat me!" The wind started to blow, the leaves skitted across the ground. The wolves started to become uneasy, something funny was going on.

The Tresspasser *chapter 2*

Neara tossed Koda in the hole in the ground under a large rock that served as a suitable den. The smell of moist dirt filled Koda's nostrils making her sneeze. Neara spun around and growled at her daughter, "Silence, do you wan't us killed young one."
Koda hunkered down and whinned slightly. Neara turned her attention back to the small entrance, her eyes fixed on anything that made noise or moved. Out from the brush appeared a very large male wolf with a coat that was a light gray, not any member of the Keenai pack, but a challenger. Every so often, a brave male from another pack will challenge the alpha male of the Keenai pack. Tet was the leader, the alpha, and most of all, Nearas mate. The grey stranger sniffed the area and raised his head, ears arrect taking in all sounds. Koda shivered and pulled back close to the wall of the den. Neara slowly layed down and slowed her breathing. The grey sniffed the around again and laughed to himself as if saying he knew he had company but he made no attempt to sniff out Neara and her cub. The tresspasser trotted off in the direction the smell of Tet led him. Neara breathed a sigh of relief and turned to Koda, nuzzling her nose into Kodas soft neck, "Its alright my daughter. We are safe, but your father..." Koda returned the embrace and licked her mother fully from nose to ear.

The Begginging *chapter 1*

In the begginging, before man was really identified to the Canis Lupis, life was good. Food was plentiful and the herds never dwindled. The wolf was the king of the wood. Strong, powerful, and almighty, other packs were the only threat to these beasts. Wars raged and the young were robbed of there very life, never to grow to there full potential. One small pup, Koda, will make her stand in history though, fighting not only for her life, but for those around her.

Koda was only three months old, small and rambuncious was a description that floated around the Keenai pack. The pack was very large and strong, rumored to be the most fearsome, not Many tried to battle for there herds and territory, but none prevail.

Keenai played by a brook, the water bubbled and stirred over the worn stones that littered the bottom. Koda stuck one paw in the cold liquid and quickly jumped back with a squeik of astonishmet. Koda looked up to her mother with sharp blue eyes filled with wonder. Neara, the wolf pups mother smiled and bent her lean head and licked her pups nose reasuringly. Koda smiled and barked. The wind stirred the trees, carrying a scent that was unlike the usual. The smell of decaying leaves and the other wolves was strong as usual, but another was lingering. The smell of a trespasser. Neara tested the winds again, her nose held high. "Yes, it is so." she said to herself. She quickly bent her head and swiftly picked up Koda by the scruff, wisking her pup off to a nearby den.
